Hiking is a very relaxing way of discovering nature. Hotel Chalet all’Imperatore in Madonna di Campiglio is situated on the road to Vallesinella, which is rich in trails of all sorts.

Without straying too far from Madonna di Campiglio you can reach the Vallesinella waterfalls. If you prefer to walk up high, you can go up the Brenta towards the refuges of Casinei, Tuckett, Sella , Brentei, Alimonta and XII Apostoli, where you can also eat and stay overnight.

Classic and Sport Climbing

There are several climbs you can do on the Brenta Dolomites. Campiglio was home to some of the most important explorers of the Brenta, who have given their names to the routes themselves. Among the most famous are the Preus and Maestri Alimonta on Campanil Basso, the Via delle Guide on Crozzon di Brenta, the Detassis on the Cima Brenta Alta.

There are also small rock climbing gyms near the town and you can book climbing lessons at various levels given by mountain guides.

Dry-tooling

Dry Tooling involves climbing rocks with ice axes and crampons, which can also include ice climbing. Near the town, there are equipped rock walls that are particularly suitable for this type of climbing.

Dog Trekking

Downhill

Downhill, an extreme sport that is becoming increasingly popular (known as DH), is a mountain bike competition. It is an individual time trial all done on downhill tracks of different degrees of difficulty and from two to seven kilometres in length.

Fishing

The river Sarca flows through Madonna di Campiglio, and there are numerous lakes both in the town and the surrounding area. Fishing enthusiasts can purchase of a permit and then enjoy the sport at their leisure.

Golf

For golf enthusiasts, Madonna di Campiglio is home to one of Europe’s most historic courses: the Golf Club Campo Carlo Magno, a 9-hole course designed by Henry Cotton in 1923. It is located to the north of the town, at an altitude of 1650m, surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Dolomites.
